I have not been active with CRR recently (a few weeks since my last site visit) and I was shocked yesterday when I visited to see a blank empty browser and no CRR website! Today I contacted my webhost and they confirmed it was a plugin issue and they disavbled all plugins and the site reappeared.
Right now, I am in the process of restoring the needed plugins, but it seems I have some duplicate plugins (2 that help with the FA icons…and why do I need both?). I also update the Genesis theme to 2.2.7 the current latest version.
Again recently, I have not updated the CRR content, but I have several major changes in mind. I will start work today on version 2 and I do not know how much longer v1.1 will be available for purchase. CRR v2.0 will be radically different and improved, but also edited greatly, with REDUCED content! More is not always better and I know this edit will make learning with CRR much easier and simpler. So the CRRv1.1 offers still stand and will stand until the release of CRRv2.0. I suggest you buy now, as CRRv1.1 is an AWESOME offer for the amount of content delivered and this will be repackaged in CRRv2.0!
Finally, as I restart playing more chess myself, I noticed the Ultimate Blitz Challenge has just taken plave in St Louis, USA, and GM Nakamura won. He beat Wesley So and Garry Kasparov and won convincingly.
I was taken by the day 2 game between So and Kasparov and made a quick video of it. Wesley So won and outplayed Kasparov, who afterwards said the game reminded him of a “Morphy against an amateur” match!
See my video on CRR YouTube:
I found this game very instructive. GM So got a development lead while Kasparov played his pieces backwards and not forwards and had a cramped position. Wesley So, then claimed open files and attacked the uncastled vulnerable black king of Kasparov. Lots of good play to learn from! Goodluck with your chess. More to come soon from CRR 😉
