CRR Chess Consultant
CRR now has an official chess consultant, Chris Dickinson.
Chris in his younger days (he is presently 21 years old) was Suffolk junior county chess champion for many years. He stopped playing competitive chess at around 15 years old to follow his other passion of football, when he started a local youth and adult team! He has also played chess in several local and national competitions and done well at senior level with the local adult chess club. Now he only occasionally plays online as he is currently at University. His blitz rating at lichess.org is over 1800 despite not playing for many years and he occasionally will play a few online blitz games. [Edit 20/09/16 Chris’ latest rating was 1950, but he has ceased play again, on return to university now and to resume his study and student life, somewhat distant from regular chess play!].
CRR is delighted that Chris has accepted this role of chess consultant and knows that Chris’ great chess knowledge and playing ability will be very useful to utilise from time to time and to help make CRR chess learning a better place for good chess rating improving!
Here is a game Chris played online, soon after he accepted this role as CRR chess consultant.
